PUERTO RICO TAXI DRIVERS AND TOURISM OPERATORS ARE GOING ON STRIKE TOMORROW

The Alliance of Carriers announced that tomorrow they will not offer taxi services in the tourist areas of the country and that the strike will continue until the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP) complies with turning off the application in tourist areas.

Carriers announced at a press conference that tomorrow they will not be offering taxi service in hotels and in any of the tourist areas.

Víctor Rodríguez, president of the Union of Truck Drivers, said on his part that tomorrow trucks will not enter to carry goods to the hotels in solidarity with the taxi drivers.

Taxi drivers will begin their demonstration at 8 a.m. at the Police headquarters in Hato Rey and then move to La Milla de Oro, where the offices of the DTOP are located.
